The Moorings is situated near the beach, a few bays, and several green spaces providing plenty of opportunities for residents to stay active and have fun no matter the time of year. There are numerous areas to go for walk, run, or bike ride with cruising along the coast a top pick. For a more secluded and tranquil spot in nature, the Gordon River Greenway Park has a scenic 2.5-mile boardwalk trail for walking, running, or bird-watching. If you prefer to get out on the water, you can canoe or kayak in areas of the Gordon River which is a favorite spot among locals.
One of the top activities any day of the year is spending time on the pristine white-sand beaches. Residents of the community have access to the private and stunning Moorings Beach. Here you can lounge on the beach, swim, kayak, and paddleboard. Two other beaches that stand out for their radiant coastline are Lowdermilk Beach and Naples Beach.
Many of the residents here are part of the private and exclusive Moorings Golf and Country Club. Golfers don’t need to go far to play on a superb 18-hole course and enjoy the amenities of the clubhouse, dining, and social events.
